ETKS Partner Donald Thompson Featured in Article on Daniel’s Law

ETKS Partner Don Thompson was recently featured on a 13WHAM article about a new law that aims to change the way law enforcement and emergency personnel respond to individuals suffering from mental health crises. Daniel’s Law comes as a response to the death of Daniel Prude, who died from asphyxiation after police officers put a hood over his head and pressed his face into the pavement for two minutes. Rochester Police were responding to Mr. Prude’s mental health crisis. The new law recently passed the state Senate’s Mental Health Committee.
