ETKS Partner Donald M. Thompson Leads Legal Team in Filing a Landmark Federal Class Action Lawsuit against the Rochester Police Department and Local Political Leaders

On Monday, April 5, 2021, ETKS Managing Partner Donald M. Thompson, along with attorneys from Baker & Hostetler LLP, Neufeld Scheck & Brustin, LLP, Roth & Roth, LLP, and the Law Office of Joshua Moskovitz, P.C. Baker & Hostetler, filed a landmark federal class action lawsuit in the United States District Court, Western District of New York on behalf of citizens of Monroe County in which they outline a four-decade long history of excessive force and tactics utilized by the Rochester Police Department that are “inhumane, racist, and antithetical to the functioning of a civilized society.”, in violation of the First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution.
